The Ravenna Colt
Our own Phil Carlson plays with Johnny Quaid, previously with My Morning Jacket, with the new group “The Ravenna Colt”. Shades of theFlying Burrito Brothers’ dark, spacious twang with a traditional folk in the vein of Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan. Great sounds that highlight the cosmic in Gram Parson’s description of insurgent country as “cosmic American music.”
The Ravenna Colt released it’s debut album ‘Slight Spell’ on February 16th and it is available as a download, or as a CD or Vinyl at an indie retailer near you.
